The protagonist, medical student Soo-in, is paying for his unconscious father's hospital fees and his own living and tuition expenses in exchange for performing illegal abortions. Yet, he feels a sense of conflict as he doesn't know what's right anymore. Meanwhile, on the day he returns after conducting an abortion for a high school girl, he gets pursued by a detective. Eventually, Su-in, who went to the police station and got out after being investigated, becomes worried about everything. Though he rejects another high school girl's request for an abortion, he gets threatened by her as she insists that she will expose everything. After facing Su-in who refuses to perform her abortion to the end, the high school girl throws herself to the Han River. Fortunately, the high school girl comes back alive, but Su-in's mind only gets more conflicting, as he cannot understand what's right anymore.
