Hilary, a brothel worker in Angeles City, Philippines is struggling to get to the USA to find a son she says she lost during the panic caused by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo. Her skeptical coworkers give her all the worst clients, including a man who pays with stolen appliances. It all happens during Holy Week, when people perform rituals of penance to get ready for another year of business as usual.
